Spring 2010 availability

(Please note: we've had a website crash and have been madly working to repair links and pages.  If you notice anything amiss, we'd appreciate hearing about it.)

Check back frequently--once the growing season is in full swing, we add many items as they are propagated; this is in addition to, or over-rules, the catalog list.  New items are posted here first, descriptions in the catalog list come later.

As we are a tiny nursery and availability is governed by weather, plant predators and prior selection, we thank you for your patience in these matters and remind our customers that including a list of alternate selections with your order nets you a bonus plant or bonus credit should we need to substitute.

~Health concerns are slowing down the gardens as well as the gardener.

Vanilla Beans
We happened upon some highly flavorful Vanilla beans recently, and after taste testing so we can tell you about them, here they are:
  • Bourbon:  has a wine-like top note, and raisin-y mid notes. Rich and aromatic. On the tongue: shouts "Cookies!"; would be good for making extract.
  • Tahitian: Fruity, almost grapelike notes. Highly aromatic, intensely floral taste.
All beans $2.00 each, plus first class postage (as they can go in bubble envelopes).
